Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Job Summary

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Technology Officer will drive the technological vision, strategy, and execution for a rapidly growing, $50M company. This leader will architect and execute a transformation that positions the organization as an AI-first enterprise, unlocking new value streams through intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and scalable digital solutions. 

The CTO will partner closely with the CEO and other senior executives to align technology investments with business objectives, ensure best-in-class security and compliance, and lead high-performing teams capable of delivering rapid innovation while maintaining operational excellence. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the current technology landscape and design a multi-year AI-driven technology roadmap aligned with business growth objectives. 
  • Lead the company’s transformation into an AI-powered organization, ensuring technology decisions accelerate operational efficiency, customer value, and competitive advantage. 
  • Develop long-term IT strategies that anticipate future business needs, emerging technologies, and industry shifts. 
  • Inspire, develop, and lead high-caliber technology teams, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and accountability. 
  • Oversee performance management, mentorship, and succession planning for technical leadership roles. 
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure technology teams are aligned, well-resourced, and deliver measurable results. 
  • Ensure IT systems operate with high availability, security, and scalability, meeting or exceeding defined SLAs. 
  • Drive modernization initiatives, ensuring technology platforms are optimized for speed, security, and adaptability. 
  • Maintain full compliance with regulatory, industry, and security requirements. 
  • Continuously scan for emerging technologies and AI advancements with the potential to transform operations, products, or customer experiences. 
  • Lead the evaluation and integration of strategic technology partnerships, platforms, and tools. 
  • Balance innovation with risk management, ensuring solutions are both cutting-edge and enterprise-ready. 

Qualifications

  • Exceptional leadership presence with the ability to influence at all levels. 
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate technology strategies into measurable business outcomes. 
  • Track record of delivering complex, enterprise-wide technology initiatives in high-growth environments. 
  • Would be preferred that the candidate has led an AI enhancement initiative and a corporate integration project. 
  • Proven experience in AI agent development, deployment, and lifecycle management. 
  • Expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems. 
  • Skilled in technology partner management, contract negotiation, and vendor performance oversight. 
  • Deep understanding of data analytics, automation frameworks, and risk management principles. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse, global teams in fast-paced environments. 
  • Excellence in delegation, talent development, and building high-performance cultures. 
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, with a collaborative and decisive approach. 
  • Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field preferred. 
  • 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including at least 6 years at the Director level or above in a scaling or enterprise environment. 
  • Fluent in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support business needs.
